New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Crime Laboratory hosted “Forensic Day” for High Schoolers on Tuesday, Sept 19th as part of National Forensic Science Week 2023 (Sept 17 - 23, 2023). Our students toured the lab, participated in forensic activities and Q&A sessions. NOPD’s goal is to build a bridge with youth interested in Forensic Science; allowing them to engage, ask questions, and learn more about the field. It is their hope that this program may foster their interest in forensics beyond high school, as forensics plays a vital role in our criminal justice system. Our students had a great time learning and engaging in activities at the Crime Laboratory. Thank you for inviting St. Katharine Drexel Prep and our amazing students and we look forward to being a part of future events. www.drexelprep.com @nopd @nolacatholicschools #Since1915 #nolacatholicschools #XUP #SKDP #PREP #ForeverThePrep #PreppingHerForLife

Now, more than ever, your donation will maintain our mission and tradition. The Forever The Prep Annual Fund is a yearly general campaign and a critical part of Prep's fundraising efforts and allows us to designate funds to the areas of greatest need. Our mission and tradition of providing the best Prep education possible is challenged each year by rising costs to operate the school - books, supplies, salaries, electricity, gas, COVID protocols, and Hurricane Ida, etc. - just like the rising costs you face at home and in your business. Tuition doesn't cover the full cost to educate each student. The Forever The Prep Annual Fund Campaign is at the core of our fundraising which covers the shortfall between the full cost to educate our students and the tuition that we charge. This is critical as we are preparing and purchasing resources for the 2022 - 2023 school year! Every gift makes a difference, your gift, large or small, supports the day to day operations of Prep - from curriculum development to campus ministry, teacher's salaries, athletics, Christian service, fine arts, student activities, building maintenance and more. Your gift helps keep tuition costs down for all students. Prep's goal is to raise $51,116 by June 30, 2022. If 1,000 donors give $51.16 we can achieve this goal. Invest in Prep today...We can do this together and raise the resources for our students to #PrepHerForLife * Join the Alumni Class Challenge * Spread the word by sign ingup to be a Class Ambassador * Great news, we have more ways to INVEST - you can Donate by scanning the QR code, Text to Give, or donate through your class giving link.
