LA GATOR Scholarship Parent Agreement Form

Dear Parent/Guardian(s), 

The current Louisiana Scholarship Program will end after this current school year. That program will be replaced with a new program: The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program. The new program will provide families with education scholarship accounts(ESAs). 

The ESAs will be managed by Odyssey which is a platform that connects families, states and vendors to streamline application management, payment processing and order fulfillment. Under the new scholarship (LA GATOR) each parent will have the responsibility to log in to their Odyssey account to submit their scholar’s tuition payment via the marketplace. The funds will be released quarterly in the student’s account. 

The parents are financially responsible for any tuition amount that may not be covered by LA GATOR. Current SKDP Students should receive $9,136. Under the new scholarship SKDP will collect the difference that is not covered by LA GATOR. 

Please also note, if you as parents choose to allocate any of your awarded funds towards another approved service besides SKDP tuition, it will be your responsibility as parents to pay any difference incurred as a result.
