Alumni Class Ambassadors & Prep Committees

Our students need you!  Your classmates need you! Prep needs you! 

Are you interested investing in Prep by volunteering your time, giving us feedback & advice, or learning more about the different types of financial contributions you can make?  

Prep is looking for parents, grandparents, alumni, and the community to be a part of our committees.  If you are interested in investing your time whether in-person or virtually we have several committees to choose from, sign up if you are interested in learning more:

• Teacher/Substitute Teacher. Prep is getting ready for the 2023 - 2024 school year. We will be hiring for teachers in all areas: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Religion, Foreign Language, Health & Physical Education, and Electives such as Computer Science and more. 
• Moderating/Co-Moderating a school club/marching unit. Our students have many interest and we need support in providing them these opportunities. They have interest such as Speech & Debate Club, Journalism Club, Book Club, Art Club, and many more. 
• Tutoring. Interested in supporting our students with their work.  We have mandatory tutoring sessions throughout the school year. 
• Beautification Committee. There are many projects that we can do around the school in house to make the school look more inviting.  We need people to help us get these projects done.  
• Alumni Class Ambassador will be responsible for gathering up to date contact information on all members of their class.  They will also help conduct surverys, gather feedback/advice/suggestions, and keep the members of their class up to date on Prep.
• Social Media Promoter will be responsible for promoting information such as surveys, activities, and events on either one or several platforms to their class mates and groups.
•  Marketing, Branding, and Communications Committee will develop, design, edit, and execute marketing materials for newsletters, annual reports, press releases, activities/events, campaigns, and more. Signing up for this committee means you can assist with either part of a process like design of all marketing or one particular event.  
• Alumni Reunion Chair/Co-Chair will be the contact person between their classmates and Prep and vice versa.  Keep Prep posted on your plans & needs so we can provide support such as event planning, class gift needs, marketing, building access, and class contact information.  Ensure that we receive information to assist in making sure the reunion is a success and that we share in the celebration by posting pictures and videos to our sites. 
• Special Events Committee will assist in planning, developing, and executing events and fundraisiers such as State of the Prep Townhall, The Prep Fund Drive, Homecoming Activities, Online Store, iGiveCatholic/GivingTuesday, Adopt-A-Prepper, Catholic School Week, Phone-A-Thon, Walk/Run, Feast Day of St. Katharine Drexel, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Commmunity Rewards, Remember When, GiveNOLA Day, Give Prep Day, and more.  Signing up for this committee means you can assist with at least one event, you are not required to assist with every event.  
• Annual Fund Chair/Champion will assist in planning and implementing the Annual Giving Drive "The Prep Fund." This committee will help develop and refine the plan, identify leaders, develop strategies, and plan special events related to the Annual Fund.  
• Major Gifts Committee will assist in one or all of the following: research, networking, or hosting a friendraiser (in person/virtual). This committee will develop a potential donor list by researching potential donors, networking with potential donors, and/or hosting a friendraiser with potential donors. 
• Grant Committee will assist in one or all of the following: researching potential funders, planning and developing the actual grant, and writing the grant.  
• Alumni Ambassador will assist with events/activities such as recruiting events, open house, State of the Prep Townhall, Homecoming Activities, marketing events, and more.  This committee will share with others why they love Prep, how Prep has made a difference in their lives, and why they should choose Prep, and more.  Alumni Ambassadors can participate in virtual or in-person events/activities.
• Become A Donor: interested in learning more about giving to a particular campaign or cause, different ways to give, monthly giving, or more on how to invest in the needs at Prep.
