St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School is sponsoring a car raffle for it's 2020 - 2021 school year.  The Prep Fundraiser Raffle is raffling a 2021 Honda Accord 1.5T Sport, MSRP $27,230.00 on Saturday, May 1, 2021. 

Price: $25.00 per ticket (if the ticket is purchased online with a credit card, you will pay a total of $26.00 per ticket, which includes the credit card processing fee.)

The Prep Fundraiser Raffle Official Rules, Details, and Regulations

St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School, a tax exempt organization under Section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is conducting this raffle and will be known as the “Sponsor” of the raffle. The Prep Fundraiser Raffle is benefiting St Katharine Drexel Prep (hereafter referred to as “Prep Car Raffle”).

By purchasing a raffle ticket, the participant accepts the following rules:

1. The Prep Car Raffle Grand Prize will be a 2021 Honda Accord 1.5T Sport, MSRP $27,230.00.

2. Winner shall assume and be responsible for all licensing, registration, and all other fees, and local, state and federal taxes, including without limitation all applicable sales, use, luxury, income and special taxes as well as insurance as required by law.  The Process shall be handled with Premier Honda. 

3. The purchase price of one (1) raffle ticket is $25.00.  You may enter the Prep Car Raffle by purchasing a raffle ticket for $25.00 each from the Sponsor.  The raffle ticket can be purchased in one of the following ways: in the form of a physical ticket, online registration form, or by text message and tendering payment.  For each ticket purchased, the person whose name and information are listed on the ticket or registration form will receive one (1) entry into the Prep Car Raffle. Payments may be made by credit card by calling 504-399-8118, on our website at www.drexelprep.com,  or by visiting the direct Square store presented to you by a student, parent, staff, or authorized affiliate of St. Katharine Drexel Prep. Payment is accepted by cash, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).  Credit card payment is accepted by calling the Office of Advancement for St. Katharine Drexel Prep at 504-399-8118, on the websites listed above, or by accessing the direct link on St. Katharine Drexel Prep Square  Store provided by the individual from whom you are purchasing the ticket.  Money orders should be made payable to St. Katharine Drexel Prep (SKDP) at 5116 Magazine St. New Orleans, LA. 70115.  If an entrant’s credit card is dishonored, Sponsor will attempt to notify the entrant by mail, e-mail, or phone at Sponsor’s discretion; and, if unsuccessful, the submitted entry will be declared invalid and the ticket will be awarded to the next valid entrant selected.  Upon receipt of either a credit card payment, or other acceptable form of payment, a confirmation email with ticket number(s) will be sent within 7 (seven) calendar days to entrant.  Payments are not tax-deductible contributions.  All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. Tax-deductible contributions can be made to support the Prep Car Raffle; however, no entry will be provided to the Prep Car Raffle.  Upon receipt of a tax-deductible contribution, donor will receive a tax receipt.

4. Sponsor is offering only 5,000 tickets, and the tickets will be awarded as Sponsor receives entries, as determined solely by Sponsor.  All entries must be received by Sponsor by the close of the Promotion Period.  If any entry materials are submitted after the 5,000 tickets have been awarded, Sponsor will return the entry materials to the entrant.  If 5,000 tickets are not sold by May 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. CT, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify the raffle. No mechanically reproduced entries of any kind permitted. Illegible and incomplete entries are void.  Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or mutilated entries or entries not received regardless of case.

5. The Prep Car Raffle ticket sales will run from January 20, 2021 to May 1, 2021 (“Promotion Period”). 

6. The potential winner for The Prep Car Raffle drawing will be selected by random drawing held no later than 4:00 PM on May 1, 2021 at St. Katharine Drexel Prep School campus from among all tickets purchased and registered during the Promotion Period.  The purchaser(s) of the winning ticket need(s) not be present to win.  Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received but shall not be any less than one in five thousand (1/5000).

7. Winner shall be notified by available phone number, mail, or email address, as provided on winner’s raffle ticket stub or online registration form determined solely by the Sponsor. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to timely claim the prize, is disqualified, fails to timely execute and return any required forms, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected from other potential winners and by random draw from all remaining eligible entries. In such instances, subsequent drawings shall be held until a qualified identifiable winner is identified.

8. To claim prize, Sponsor will require winner to complete, sign, and return Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release/Publicity Release forms, and other applicable documents, which may require a social security number, postmarked within ten (10) business days of the notification.

9. In the event that more than one name may be stated on the winning raffle ticket(s), the winner(s) must provide the Social Security number for the designated winner.  Delivery of the prize will be made solely to then entrant declared as the winner.  It is the sole responsibility of the entrants in a multiple party entry to allocate the prize among themselves, with one and only one entrant designated as the winner, see term #8 for the time limit. 

10. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older, the established legal gambling age in Louisiana, and must be a legal U.S. resident (excluding Puerto Rico) at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.

11. Name(s) of the winner(s) will be available to the media and all raffle participants via the Drexel Prep and authorized affiliate website www.drexelprep.com,  for a minimum of 60 days after the end of the raffle and after award of the prize.  Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor to use winner’s name, city and state, voice, statements, images and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade, in any medium, without further compensation or notice, unless prohibited by law.  Submission of contact information in connection with this Prep Car Raffle (whether or not required) including mailing address, phone number, and email address during entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to add entrant to Sponsor’s database and to contact entrant in the future for promotional and other reasons.  Entrant may opt-out of receiving such communications by contacting the sponsor directly.

12. Vehicle will be processed by the car dealership, Premier Honda, and winner must take delivery from Premier Honda, 11801 East I-10 Service Road, New Orleans, LA. 70128 Tel: (888) 379-0221 within (4) four weeks of the drawing.  Winner shall be responsible for taking delivery of the Grand Prize and shall be responsible for all arrangements and costs associated (tax, registration, title, license fees, insurance, and all other costs incurred in claiming, registering, or using the vehicle.) with taking delivery, including but not limited to shipping/transport and other expenses.  Grand Prize winner must present his/her valid U.S. driver’s license and provide satisfactory proof of liability insurance prior to prize delivery.  Prize details and availability are subject to change.  In the event the particular vehicle cannot be supplied for any reason, a similar vehicle of comparable value may be substituted at Sponsor’s sole discretion. No other purchase option is available. Prize is not transferable, and no cash substitutions except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.  No more than one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. Should the winning entrant be unable to take delivery of the Grand Prizes within (time determined from above) weeks of the drawing due solely to the winner’s inability to do so, the winner shall relinquish the prize and eligibility for the prize.  Subsequent drawings shall be held until a qualified winner is identified. 

13. The Winner will be subject to any and all applicable withholding taxes as required by the I.R.S. and the state of Louisiana taxing authorities based upon the taxable value of the Grand Prize.  The winner may be obligated to submit the withholding taxes to St. Katharine Drexel Prep prior to receiving the vehicle in the form of a cashier’s check based on the guidance provided by the I.R.S.  and the state of Louisiana taxing authorities at the time of the drawing.   If the payment of withholding taxes is paid to St. Katharine Drexel Prep, St. Katharine Drexel Prep will transmit the payment of taxes to the I.R.S. and the state of Louisiana and shall send the winner the required W-2G, reflecting the taxes paid by the winner.  St. Katharine Drexel Prep will follow all processes as mandated by the I.R.S. and the State of Louisiana taxing authorities.  Raffle ticket purchases (game of chance) are not tax deductible.

14. THE PREP CAR RAFFLE DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE REGARDING HONDA, PREMIER HONDA, AND ALL OTHER THIRD PARTIES PARTICIPATING IN THE RAFFLE.

15. The decisions of The Prep Car Raffle and its Auditors and designated personnel shall be final on all matters concerning the drawing.

16. The purchase of tickets for this raffle is void where prohibited by law.
